Welcome Y'all!

A recent transplant from South Carolina, I take this "Southern Belle Secret" to heart - Nothing too easy, or done too quickly is going to be right. It takes time to create perfection, whether it is your tea or your hair.

Unfortunately, I am pretty certain that my hair will never be perfect again...thanks to this Texas humidity! But I do enjoy a perfect glass of sweet tea, and I am certain that the road I have traveled to reach this point is one that has prepared me to better serve You and your family.

For as long as I can remember, I have been creating memories through photography. For just as long, friends and family have been encouraging me to take the leap to photography as a profession. The journey has not been easy or quick. In fact, some would say it has been "slow as molasses" for Heather Hummel Photography to be born! But the timing is right. 

With our move to Fulshear, I have been struck by the wide open spaces and the way the light hits the land during the rising and setting of the sun each day.  I often find myself picking up my camera in the mornings before I pick up a cup of tea, and my boys are quite easily the most photographed creatures on this earth!

I have a heart for children and know our children will be grown in the blink of an eye. That explains why much of my work revolves around capturing the beauty of little ones doing what they do best - playing, laughing, running, etc.
